We all love our cats and want to see them relaxed outdoors, with their eyes closed and tummies exposed. Allowing cats outdoors, however, can pose safety risks. Traffic, poisonous plants, and cruelty from humans are all risks. A backyard cat enclosure can be the best option if you're looking for a way to provide your feline friend with a safe and secure place to enjoy the sun, bask, and explore the outdoor environment.
As Perth's leading provider of cat enclosures, KittySafe specialises in creating premium backyard cat enclosures tailored to ensure your cat's safety and well-being. Let us help you create the perfect backyard for your cats today!

Made to last! Premium HDPE net with a 5-year UV warranty and a 12-month warranty on our work.
Unlike enclosures made with freely moving wire rope, our work won’t unravel and needs replacing if a cable breakage does happen. Our knotted netting won’t unravel if a strand breaks.
Unlike others, we don’t use aluminium swages to fasten our stainless steel cable. Aluminium is chemically incompatible with stainless steel and corrodes, especially in a coastal setting. We use copper swages, which are harder to apply but last longer.
Fixed very well to all surfaces, masonry wood or metal, our enclosures are elegant but strong. We don’t recommend running across the net, but we have seen our product survive that test.
Our black netting “disappears” against the light, making it very unobtrusive. We won’t try to sell you on cream or grey netting, which sounds good but is very visible and gets dirty.
Our attachment to gates allows them to be Kittysafed and also remain usable.
We keep the process simple. It starts with our friendly and responsive team and can wrap up in a few days.
This structured approach ensures that our valuable customers are well-informed and involved throughout the process, leading to a successful installation of their backyard cat enclosure.

We value the opportunity to earn your trust and provide you with the best service in the industry. Kittysafe's founder, Stuart Durkin, and our highly skilled team bring years of experience in the pet industry, ensuring that your cats are in safe hands.
We enclose balconies, and we enclose very large areas, from big backyards to professional animal enclosures. A small side-of-house enclosure with a zipper door may cost $800. To enclose both sides and the back of a typical house may cost around $2500. We can build the enclosure that suits your budget and your needs. Please bear in mind that we create a quality product, and we communicate clearly about our costs. There are no hidden costs and no high-pressure sales tactics; we are an ethical company.
Sure! We are not a retailed outlet so we can't sell you the netting, but it's certainly doable. Bear in mind that our professional tools and techniques do make a difference. Not only will your enclosure look great, but it will be fixed with steel rings that don't degrade like zip ties do, will not unravel if the cable breaks and have a warranty.
Cats are highly adaptable creatures and can be as happy in a small apartment as they can be in a massive backyard. The benefit of any outdoor space is that it provides your cat with sights and smells that are constantly surprising and stimulating. Even a small balcony can provide your cat with joy as they curl up in a sunny spot, sniffing at the air, listening to the birds or just feeling the wind on their fur. At Kittysafe, we recommend you use whatever space is convenient and available to use, and allow your cat to move safely between the enclosure and the inside of your home.
First, give them time. Don't push him. We know that our cats tend to find a dark space to hide whenever things change, so let your cat have his alone time, and when he comes out to investigate, let him discover the enclosure himself. If you put some favourite toys or food in the space, this will encourage him to find the new space. If he is unhappy with being enclosed (and who wouldn't be, even in a fine Kittysafe enclosure!), give him as much freedom as possible to wander in and out of the house and into the space.
Kittysafe enclosures need little upkeep. Sometimes, they can loosen up a little bit with time, so make sure the perimeter is tight. Remember, the netting is durable, but even four pre-stretched, knotted nets are vulnerable to heat. Be careful with that barbecue! The zippers on our zipper doors are reliable, but try oiling them with motor oil or CRC to keep them sliding well. Don't use padlocks to keep the doors closed, as they are heavy and can interfere with the zipper. Try using lightweight Karabinas instead.
You can put cat toys, climbing ramps and food in the enclosure. Adding cat friendly plants like cat mint and catnip can be helpful, and be sure to spend time outdoors with your cat in the enclosure. They get very excited to see you in their space outside. Food can also be a good idea. You might want to invest in an ant proof cat bowl with a water moat to prevent ants getting to the food intended for your furry friend.
